WENDELL joined BRAIN WAVES in Std VIII. I found that he exhibited a rare clarity of thought at such a young age. In a short time, in spite of being affected by poor health, he showed tremendous improvement in his study habits.
WENDELL is "sorted" – he tends to put rationed efforts, which he perceives as sufficient to get him through. I agree that in the long term, when he is subjected to multiple responsibilities, it will serve him well. But now, in his formative years, it is not justified. WENDELL too is intelligent enough to understand, that this habit of his, is on account of his lethargy. I observed how WENDELL squirmed, trying to wriggle out of the grilling I subjected him to, when he tried to justify his underperformance in terms of efforts. I hope, in the future, WENDELL will introspect, and relate to that feeling of discomfiture, to drive himself to the pinnacle of success. This introspection will also help him to discover his latent talents which will help him to propel forward in life.
WENDELL’S MOM has to single handedly take up the responsibility on the domestic front besides her job. She does so with a smile, also being a dutiful host to WENDELL’S cousins & friends. WENDELL’S MOM does this & more with élan. She is always observant and appreciative of his tiniest achievements. It was she who had observed the qualitative development that WENDELL exhibited, when he joined in Std VIII, since we hardly had an opportunity to observe him keenly.
My interactions with WENDELL’S DAD have been minimal, owing to him being abroad on account of his job. But it was sufficient for me to be rest assured that he played his DAD’S role to perfection. WENDELL’S DAD was appreciative, supportive & most importantly, understanding, towards both WENDELL and MOM. I was touched, when, at the end of the year he accompanied WENDELL’S MOM, to thank and appreciate the BRAIN WAVES TEAM.
As WENDELL takes a leap towards the real world, if he acknowledges the sacrifices made by his PARENTS, it'll help him reach his true potential.
